Affect Engines

The Korsakow software provides the tools and services to create and share a Korsakow film. It is a system for the production of affect, more specifically affect films. The purpose of such systems is not then to make action or perception images but affect images. While viewing a Korsakow film I have no choice but to become a centre of indetermination between perception and action, and this centre must be accounted for within any interactive work. This indeterminacy, my role to look, notice, and act is left outside, at the door, in the cinema but not here. As a consequence Korsakow films are poetic, associative, disjunctive, paratactical. This is their milieu.
